Your views on Thomas Frank

  1. Frank's bleak win percentagepublished at 13:36 GMT

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has a lower win percentage than any of his predecessors at the club.

The former Brentford boss has won just 11 of his 32 games in charge, giving him a win percentage of just 34%.

That is significantly lower than Ange Postecoglou (47%), Antonio Conte (54%), Nuno Espirito Santo (53%), Jose Mourinho (52%) and Mauricio Pochettino (55%).

  2. West Ham defeat a new low for Spurs and Frankpublished at 13:31 GMT

While the negativity has been brewing for a while at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Saturday's defeat by London rivals West Ham United was perhaps the day it all spilled over into a new low.

The Hammers, while fighting for their life, had shown little signs of that fight in recent weeks and were seemingly becoming cut further and further adrift from safety.

On paper, they appeared to present the perfect opponent for Thomas Frank to get a positive result and start a turnaround on that home form - but it wasn't to be.

West Ham, winless away from home since the opening day of the season and winless in the Premier League as a whole since 8 November - broke their dry streak at the expense of Spurs - and deservedly so.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side outperformed their hosts and put up a lofty xG of 2.69, while Spurs could only manage 1.68.

Thomas Frank is clearly a good manager. I think he needs another year to get the players he wants and build a team, rather than a team of individuals. No point buying players who can’t play as a team. Also need a proper striker.

    Adz

Give Frank more time, he shouldn't be run out by the infantile boo-boys. The players need to do much, much better, especially our frontline, and the club needs to buy experienced players, not put more pressure on our youngsters.

    Simon

I feel very sorry for Thomas Frank. He hasn’t overnight become a bad manager. He did a great job at Brentford. The players (and supporters) need to get a grip. He should be given to the end of the season.

    Malcolm

We have to stick with him at least until the summer and stop this doom cycle of replace every few months. Build something as nothing comes instantly.

  6. 'Large sections of supporters lost faith in Frank'published at 13:18 GMT

Saturday's defeat at home to West Ham leaves Spurs 14th in the Premier League, having won just seven of their 22 games this season.

Large sections of the supporters have already lost faith in the former Brentford boss.

He was taunted by his own fans on Saturday with chants of "you're getting sacked in the morning" during the closing stages.

  7. Spurs chiefs consider sacking Frank as fans turnpublished at 13:15 GMT

BBC Sport reported on Sunday that Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank is under significant internal scrutiny with the club considering calling time on his seven-month reign.

It is understood that at least one member of the club's executive team has actively raised the option of ending Frank's reign in recent weeks.

The club have so far backed Frank despite Spurs' struggles this season, but Saturday's home defeat by West Ham means his position is now under threat as the club's hierarchy weighs up whether they should move immediately or give Frank a chance to turn things round.

The question now is: how will Tottenham supporters react in Tuesday's home game against Borussia Dortmund?

Booing from home fans has become commonplace at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and not just at the half-time or full-time whistle, but during matches as well.

Many supporters will have been expecting a change of manager before Tuesday's game, so what kind of welcome can Thomas Frank expect, if he is still in charge?

And is it ever acceptable for fans to boo their manager or players before or during a game?

  9. Pressure mounts on Frankpublished at 13:02 GMT

Thomas Frank faces mounting pressure on his position as Tottenham manager following Saturday's 2-1 defeat at home to relegation-threatened West Ham in the Premier League.

This latest result - the club's ninth league defeat of the season - was a new low for the under-fire manager.

The stadium was already on edge given the match was dubbed, by some, as 'El Sackico' in the build-up; given the pressure West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo was also under.

West Ham took the lead, before Cristian Romero equalised in the second half, only for Callum Wilson to score the winner in the dying moments. That set off a whirlwind of hostility.

It continued a worsening theme of dire home performances - Spurs have failed to win nine of their 11 home league games this season - and was met by now customary boos from disgruntled supporters in the stands at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
