  4. 'Sometimes snooker gods on your side'published at 23:19 GMT 17 January

Kyren Wilson speaking on BBC Two: "Wu Yize is going to be around for many years to come. I just wasn't at the races at all today and I don't know where I found those last two frames. Wu let me off the hook a little bit. The same as Neil Robertson - it looked like it was going to be all over and I was going out.

"Sometimes the snooker gods are on your side and you just have to make the most of it. It's an awesome achievement in itself to make back-to-back finals but that's not what I'm in the game for. I don't want to leave it there. I think I put myself under too much pressure because I am desperate to play John Higgins in the final. An all-time legend. That's something I'll savour."

Complaining about the 'Wuuu'? We've heard nothing but 'Come on Ronnie' being shouted out every shot for over 20 years but no complaints.

    Wu 5-5 Wilson

Wonder if John Higgins has been out to another show with his wife Denise, or whether he is watching this from his hotel room?

In fairness the Scot, may even be tucked up in bed by now.

    Steve Davis

Kyren Wilson deserves everything he gets because that is warrior potential. You don't become world champion without a big heart and he showed it there. He'll know the significance of how the other guy feels. To strike the ball with such authority shows he's capable.
